Hi PLS users, I need help with the clarification of interpretation of the results from PLS. The datamat file can be found at /rri_disks/irene/mah_lab/bing/mean_centered_baseline/mean_centered_nw_incl_null_fMRIresult.mat I am only interested in LV1, the postive and negative threshold is set at 3/-3. I am not sure if the interpretation of the result is correct. I would like to know how to interpret cluster report and its relation with the condition. (i.e how do I know which part of the brains are activated by different conditions) In the brain score image, the two groups are significantly different in both happy and sad conditions. the brain score for happy condition in group 1 is negative, and for sad condition in group 2 is negative too. In the cluster report, we have negative bootstrap ratio in left middle frontal gyrus (-32 36 28; -44 36 16). Can I say left middle frontal gyrus has shown greater activities in the happy condition in group 1? the left middle frontal gyrus has greater activities in the sad condition in group2? Can anyone let me know? Thank you. ...bye

Hi BingYe...

thanks for posting to the forum as well..

the short answer is you need to look at your results to know for sure what relationship is being defined by any given designLV/brainLV pattern...

Using some fake demo data, I've created some instructions that should help with interpreting your data.

The file can be downloaded here:
