Hi

Is it possible to run PLS analysis (e.g., mean center PLS) on structural images (e..g, FLAIR images)? If so, any particular steps that need to be taken? Thanks.

Hi Ming-ching

no.. that should not be done.

In the same way that the intensity values in a T1-weighted image are "meaningless" from an analysis perspective - FLAIR signal intensities are also "meaningless".  When we segment T1-w images, we convert the signal intensities into GM probability (etc), which then makes it possible to calclate statistics at the voxel level..

your T1/T2 maps are calculated relaxation times, so they are also suitable for voxel-based analysis.
