Hello everyone,
Let's assume I'm running a non-rotated task PLS analysis on 5 conditions.
When specifying possible contrasts, how differently would PLS treat these two contrasts:
+2 1 0 -1 -2
vs.
+1 +1 0 -1 -1
?

(I'm aware that +1 +1 0 -1 -1 is identical to +2 +2 0 -2 -2, for example)

Thanks

I think that the top one gives you differentiation of all 5 conditions, while the bottom one cannot differentiate condition 1-2 and condition 4-5.
